Libya: The Forgotten Giant of North Africa
From the first African Roman Emperor to Barbary pirates; from Ottoman walls to Italian facades – Libya is a forgotten historical gem, in most part due to its unfortunate recent history. Today, the streets of Tripoli offer some of the best coffee in the world, with a backdrop of Ancient Roman and 1930s Italian architecture.

A YOUNG PIONEER TOUR OF LIBYA
A private tour of Libya’s highlights booked through Young Pioneer Tours (YPT) using Sherwes travel. This 4 day tour took me to Gasr Al-Hajj, Tarmisah, Leptis Magna, Sabratha and all around the Old Town of Tripoli. This was an unforgettable trip and I really developed a fondness for Tripoli and its fusion of Italian architecture and coffee, ancient Roman ruins and local hospitality.
