Chile: Where the Andes meet the Sea
Forming the long, narrow southern pacific edge of South America, Chile is a country defined by dramatic mountain terrain, as the Andes form the eastern border with Bolivia and Argentina down through Patagonia. The modern capital, Santiago, is a major political and economic centre set between mountains and valleys. Far into the Pacific Ocean, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) stands as one of Chile’s most distinctive territories, famous for its ancient Moai statues and Polynesian heritage.

An epic voyage of the adventurous ups and downs experienced travelling across this diverse part of the Andes. From a stunning desert oasis, red cliff beaches to the highest lake in the world where the altitude almost took me out.
